Adding courses

Settings → Manage courses → Add course.

• Course number — optional, your university's module or course number.
• Title — the full name, e.g. “Calculus I”.
• Short form — optional, shown wherever space is short: on the ring tiles and in the blocks of the weekly calendar.
• Icon — optional, helps you spot the course in lists.
• Lecturers — optional, as many as you like: a name and, if you like, a role, such as “lecture” or “exercises”. Free text, no address book.
• Properties — see below.

The properties — also your checklist

The properties say what belongs to a course:

They do not affect rating: participation and the four scales are the same for every course.

The list is a promise: ticking “has an exercise class” says you will add its sessions too. Below the form, “Still to add” shows the state, for example “Incomplete: Exam date missing”, and every missing point has a yellow border. “Fully set up” with a check mark appears only once nothing at all is missing.

When something is missing, a hint at the top of the page also says what to do — for example: add the exam date, get reminded later, or switch off “Has an exam”. Tapping it scrolls straight to the marked point. Switch the property off and both the hint and the incomplete state disappear; there is no reminder either.

Sometimes the data simply does not exist yet — “the exercise slots are announced in week 2”. Every open point therefore offers “Remind me later”: the hint at the top and on the dashboard stays quiet for one week and then comes back on its own. The course is not complete because of that — its state then reads, say, “Incomplete: Exam date missing (reminder on 09/21/2026)”.

Mandatory attendance is no longer a property of the course. It belongs to the session: a lecture may be optional while its lab is not. You set it at the end of the series dialog.
