Colours, teachers and rooms

Every course has a colour. It is assigned when you create the course — the next free one out of ten — and can be changed in the course. From the eleventh course on colours repeat; the name tells them apart from there.

Colours of your own. After the ten colours there is a +. It opens the device's colour picker; the colour you choose applies to the course and is offered next to the fixed ones from then on, for the next course too. If a colour is too pale on a light or dark background, StudyNow darkens or lightens it there until the dot is easy to see. A shared template carries the colour along.

The colour sits as a dot behind the name, everywhere in the same pattern: first the session type icon, then the name, then the dot. You find it on the dashboard (catch-up, upcoming sessions and deadlines, ring tiles), in the calendar (blocks, list, month dots), in the course list and in the achievements. In the week grid the block itself carries the colour — a dot would be too small to make out there.

The former symbol per course is gone. It only appeared on the dashboard and duplicated the session type icons. If you want a symbol, put an emoji in the name.

Teachers and rooms are maintained once, at the course. At a session or a series you pick from them:

• The list shows what the course holds — rooms with their room type, teachers with their role.
• The matching room comes first: lecture room for a lecture, lab for practical and lab sessions, exam room for an exam. If several match, nothing is preselected — the app does not guess.
• Own entry covers the one-off: a stand-in, a different room. The course data stays untouched.
• Not specified is allowed and stays allowed.

If you later delete a room or a teacher from the course, the name stays on the sessions that carry it — a past session should show what was true back then.
